This Privacy Policy explains how AI For Freelancers collects, uses, and protects information when you visit aiforfreelancers.net, contact us, or interact with the site’s features.
1. Information you provide
You may provide your name, email address, and message when you use a contact form, leave a comment, subscribe to updates, or communicate with us. Please do not submit confidential client information or other sensitive personal data through public comments.
2. Information collected automatically
Our hosting platform, WordPress, security tools, and analytics technologies may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, and diagnostic or security logs. This information is used to operate, protect, measure, and improve the site.
3. Comments and profile images
If comments are enabled, we collect the information shown in the comment form together with technical data used for spam prevention. An anonymized hash derived from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to determine whether you use that service. After an approved comment, your public profile image may appear beside it. Gravatar’s privacy information is available at automattic.com/privacy.
4. Contact forms
Messages submitted through our contact forms are processed so we can respond to your request, prevent abuse, and keep appropriate business records. The site currently uses WPForms for form functionality. Do not use a contact form to send passwords, payment-card details, health information, government identifiers, or confidential client data.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The site may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for security, preferences, comments, forms, analytics, and—if enabled—advertising. Some third-party content or tools may set their own cookies. Where required, visitors will be offered appropriate choices before non-essential cookies are used. You can also restrict cookies through your browser settings, although some site features may not work correctly.
6. Analytics, advertising, and affiliate links
We may use measurement services to understand aggregated traffic and improve our content. We may also participate in advertising or affiliate programs. Affiliate partners may use tracking parameters or cookies to attribute qualifying purchases after you click a marked link. We do not receive your full payment-card information from a retailer. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more information.
If Google advertising services are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or other identifiers in accordance with Google’s policies. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
7. Embedded content and external links
Articles may include videos, images, social posts, or other content embedded from third-party websites. Embedded content can behave as if you visited that provider directly and may collect data according to its own privacy policy. External websites are not controlled by AI For Freelancers.
8. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the site; display and moderate comments; respond to enquiries; understand site performance; prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; maintain records; comply with legal obligations; and improve our articles and user experience. We do not sell personal information for money.
9. When information may be shared
Information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, measure, or operate the site. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or site security, or as part of a business transfer. Providers are responsible for their own privacy practices where they act independently.
10. Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, record-keeping, legal, and dispute-resolution needs. Comment records may be retained to recognize and moderate follow-up comments. Contact messages may be kept while an enquiry is active and for an appropriate record-keeping period afterward.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information associated with you, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions. Submit a request through our Contact page and provide enough information for us to verify and respond to it.
12. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should use care when deciding what to send online.
13. Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
14. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy protections can differ by country. We take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the services involved.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
